Boston!

We just got back from almost a whole week in Boston to celebrate my cousin-in-law's wedding. Wow, was it a good time! Lawson loved every minute of it, from playing in the backyard with his cousins to trips to the beach and local parks. And I came home with literally 450 pictures... It was really hard to narrow it down to just these few.

This rock in the backyard was a handy place for a cousins shot with Alyvia and Mya.

It was also fun to jump off of!

Lawson and Alyvia having a laugh....

Lawson loved playing with his godfather, John.

My handsome little dude....

No family gathering is complete without beauty salon time. I think Lawson might have spent just a little too much time playing with girls...

Classic Lawson.... just a blurry image streaking by....

We spent most of Sunday at a beach in Plymouth. It's not technically Cape Cod, but it's pretty darned close. The water was 53*, but that didn't stop Lawson from plunging right in!

Can you see the size of the rock Lawson is ready to throw??!!!! He threw rocks for a good part of the day...

Mya and Lawson taking a stroll....

It Happens So Fast...

So..... yesterday, I was chatting on Facebook with a friend while Lawson was busy playing with some toys. I could hear him talking to the animals, but then it got quiet. That kind of quiet that makes every mother go "Oh, geez....". There's a reason we react that way.

In the course of 20-30 seconds, Lawson got bored with his animals and ran into his room, climbed up his changing table and found his baby powder. The pictures tell the rest of the story....

That stuff was everywhere - even down on the carpet! Since it wasn't acid he was spilling on himself, I figured I could take a minute to snap a couple of pictures. But we'll definitely need to buy some more powder today... At least his room smells nice!

Such a Big Helper...

My assigned parking spot at my apartment complex is about 50 yards from my front door. It's really not a big deal most of the time and the extra steps are good for me, but it's kind of a hassle when I come home from the grocery store. When we first moved in, Lawson was just 15 months old and there was no way I was going to let him walk that distance...I didn't want him walking through the parking lot, especially if my hands were full. So I bought a little fold-up cart I keep in my trunk and use it to hold the groceries so I could hold Lawson. Oh, and as an aside - making 2 trips gets hard...I can't leave Lawson alone in the car or the apartment so it's best to make one big trip.

Well, Lawson is now 19 months old and is better about listening, so I let him walk to the door. But he doesn't walk alone. He wants to help and has taken over the job of pushing the groceries to the door. He loves it so much, he gets annoyed if I interfere and, like, steer... But it's so cute to see him take charge of the grocery transportation. I can carry more bags in my arms this way, although he still likes to sort them when it's all over...

Silliness...

Nothing major to post today, but I do have some silliness to share:

I got distracted before I had a chance to finish changing out the trash can liner and Lawson managed to make himself adorable yet again...

I'm not sure what prompted this, but he was hellbent on getting inside the couch!

After his bath last night, I gave him a much needed nail trimming. He hates it! He wiggles and squirms and fights me every time. And then when it's all over, he wants the clippers so he can do it. Little Mr. Independent. Wonder where that came from? *wink*
